48 hours in and Zoox HQ is home to a new happy family! Even jet lag and unbelievably EPIC travel blunders cannot thwart the beaming smiles and jovial laughter all round!
My gut tells me this is going to be good! Great!
Home for the next two weeks is Aninuan, a charming Barangay (village) complete with an action-packed basketball court and a lush picture perfect beach. The local community are some of the friendliest people I have come across in my travels, none other than Anna Lyn, our very lovely landlady. It’s easy to see why Chloe and JJ have decided to make this their base, home.
From the moment I arrived I have felt nothing but welcomed by everyone, and already I can tell it will be hard to leave when the time comes.
Since our arrival, we have had some time to familiarize ourselves with the local area, getting to know the local residents (both the two-legged and four-legged kind) and of course each other, which on this ZEP is a pretty multicultural lot!
As we settle into our new surroundings, activities are pretty easy and relaxed… coffee, food shopping, kubo time (a very welcomed new addition to Zoox HQ), snorkeling, massages, watching the basketball and of course mosquito eradication…. MOSQUITOES BEWARE!!! The Israeli Army is in town and you have no chance in this house!
Re-energised and settled I am now super excited and all set to get stuck into the ZEP. The first steps of what undoubtedly will be a life changing experience…
